Sweet Heat
Earlier this year Jelly Belly came out with the new flavor, Chili Mango. I really like sweet-heat so I was pretty happy when I 1st discovered these at the Fancy Foods Show. James of EatMoreHeat.com and I made sure we stopped at the Jelly Belly booth whenever we were in that area of the show, just so we could get more free samples.
So last week when I heard that my sister and niece were going to visit the factory for a tour I made sure I dropped some pretty blatant hints that I really liked this new flavor and it paid off! When they stopped to see me on their way home, they left me I nice bag of these great jelly beans.
I think these jelly beans have a real good flavor, with a bit of heat. Not a lot of heat, but enough for the mainstream buying public. It’ll be a while (if ever) before we see Jelly Bellies with habanero or ghost pepper, but for now these will have to do.
I am really happy to see more and more spicy products coming to market with wider distribution, which means that the fiery flavors are getting more acceptance and we will continue to get more new and exciting products.
